reality as perception defines,
and even more, we’ve come
to expect;
on the mondays when we go to
work,
along the sweat and blood
highways.

crisp air penetrates my synthetic
clothing allowing out sweat but
also keeping the moonlight from
slowly warming these early risen
bones
