I’m back,
I’m back
from that place
disgustingly green
where hope drizzles reluctantly from the sky
“Will I see the tall city towers once more?
To all that is and ever existing,
Let me gently lay my head on the winter’s bosom
Let me breathe in the urban fumes,
I swear I’ll not dance la bostella again,”
those were my thoughts and wishes while still captive
in the most horrid and colorful place on earth, where beauty
and ugliness mesh too well that only a faint pain remained
after finding a saint half-smiling in hell.
No offense, Freakynewchild. But this drawing sort of sums up much of what I read on this site:

“We should be too big to take offense and too noble to give it,” that’s what A. Lincoln recommends. But since, I never listen to anyone, especially not to the dead people’s words of wisdom (if they were so wise, they would have done better than let themselves turn to dust), I will simply say this:
I have looked at the graph and pondered, not about the graph itself, but about the state of mind of the person who left me such a link. I think I understand. You’re not well… But,I have heard your cry for help. I’m glad I was there for you, and I will be right here for you if you feel like throwing another plot at me. I’m all about making the world a better place, why not start with you. You can also reach me at 1800-new-child or 1800-new-freak. Call today and learn how you can get Better Fast. It’s free !!!
Respectfully yours,

‘Twas a joke, Child, a joke. It might better have better suited Roger Mugs, that I grant you. Sorry…
wow, I had no idea and I kind of feel bad now… like a robot realizing that he’s just scraps of metal, I have to come to terms with the idea that my sense of humor has gone M.I.A. I just hope there is medication for that.
Best not to throw meat into the bull cage if you wanted to eat it, Dave.
And by that cryptic metaphor I actually mean: This is a poetry blog, where poets post their poems, full of poetation and poetics abound, where poetry can be free of all of the negative connotations neanderthals have stamped into the brains of the general public. Where people type this web address in specifically to get filled up with all of the sieve’s juicy goodness. So to come on the site, and then insult it’s entire premise (even if it’s a joke) kind of makes you, no offense, a target.
It’s funny though, that the graph you linked us to seems to have been written by a 7th grade bully.
No offense, though. Just yankin’ yer chain. ‘N stuff.
Folks,
I am sorry. I don’t know what I was thinking or why I posted my snarky little graph link. It was unkind and uncalled for. I repent and apologize.
As a small, but genuine peace offering, I give you one of my poems:

It is not great, but it is the best thing I can offer to y’all at this point.
