I sneezed again in the car today,
nearly giving my life away,
making me consider the facts of life
and the inevitability of bodily functions
(like sneezes, coughs, sperm, and diarrhea),
making man’s free will impotent
in the face of bodily necessity.
impotent is the best possible word you could have used here… and single handedly (wordedly… er… then you lose the pun) makes the whole poem
you wrote a poem about your bodily functions being
dominant over your free will.
are you crazy?
I also liked the use of the word impotent, especially since the whole point of the poem is the inability to be impotent, or at least selectively impotent.
And Tucker, yes I suppose I am crazy at times; but then again, what good is free will if it can’t stop me from sneezing? I instead prefer chance’s mastery of fate and free will myself; chance gives such clear cut answers.
you wish your bodily functions were controlled by you completely?
Sorry, I couldn’t really understand the point of the poem. It was confusing to me sorry.
