unless i’m trying to impress someone

as is the omlette, so is the man

poetry

although i like to appear sophisticated,
i really must confess
when given the choice between
the old standby,
ham and cheddar cheese,
and something more refined,
like asparagus and goat cheese with venison sausage,
i’ll go with the ham and cheese
just about every time
and be happy with who i am.
