scratch

obsessive

poetry

i know i shouldn’t;
i shouldn’t.
I Shouldn’t!
I SHOULDN’t!!!

but it feels so good,
so perfect, so right,
to scratch, to dig,
to rip away the skin

until it bleeds
and scabs
and bleeds once more,
when i scratch once again;
and again.
Again.
AGAIN…

Eczema

poetry, theologer, theology

an endless battle
in which i seek control
i will overcome you
but for now i will succumb
you provide the false bliss
the temporary relief from
this body of mine
until my hands feel the need
to come for more
and satisfy my dehydrated
skin like a next fix for an addict
