i would argue its related to our fear of the laws of physics… we think if we want to ever BE in motion we have to GET in motion so that we can stay in it… also we’re afraid that in stopping we’ll lose to the joneses – who dont have iphones anywhay so i dont know what all the fuss is about.
Continuum of Time and Space:
Our lives are laps in endless Race,
And one and hundred billion more,
Will but amount a single score;
A shallow peg, a marking place,
For spans existence: quantum chase.

Toward destinies as blind as we!
