Soul Food (for Thought)
December 30, 2009
Your religion doesn’t
keep you warm at night.
Not unless you worship
the God Forsaken dollar
that pays the man that
pipes the gas that heats
your modest dwelling.
Damned if you do though,
I suppose.
Leaving the wheat with the chaff. This is not your mother’s poetry.
Your religion doesn’t
keep you warm at night.
Not unless you worship
the God Forsaken dollar
that pays the man that
pipes the gas that heats
your modest dwelling.
Damned if you do though,
I suppose.
