nomadic fashion

drifting across
the continent in
nomadic fashion
often leaves
one
lacking in friends
and despite the
change in scenery
one
can’t help but
notice when
it matters
most.

i’m remembering kerouac and how much i hated his book until the last 10 pages and then i couldn’t decide if those were good enough to make up for hte rest of the book.

lack of friends? why do we romanticize this in so many places? remember that movie into the wild? basically it made a hero out of a total idiot. people, community, essential.

  2. Tucker Collins Says:

    i saw into the wild
its a shame hes dieing when he realizes that
he was only ever happy when he was with people.

  3. rcribay Says:

i didn’t see that movie…i read the BOOK.

(actually, i didn’t read the book. i just wanted to sound like a jackass.)

  4. Tucker Collins Says:

    you accomplished that

  5. Roger Mugs Says:

i’ve never met a jackass that was smart enough to read a book… but i’d like to … you know… if you could introduce me to said jackass..

    (huzaa… accomplished it myself)
