screwing “the man!” by publishing yourself

So many people make such a big deal
out of finally seeing themselves in print
and then they’re printed
and they think
the man
he likes me
but the truth is
you can spend your whole life
waiting for the man
or you can say
screw you the man
and get out there and make a difference
in this world
a difference that no one
will want to buy
or read
or care about
but even if the man saw you as his beloved
it wouldn’t change a thing
the sieve and the sand the awesomeness the book
screw you the man

By the way, I bought the book. I downloaded it for $2.50. I like it, as it’s very punk rock, as related to the diy ethos, and likewise very Bloomsbury. (The only complaint is that I noticed two titles–of mine, because I’m very vain–had spelling errors that don’t exist within this Web site.) The layout is great, too; it looks like a long chapbook. And it begins and ends with Roger Mugs, the engine of this project. Good job.
thanks Ned… sorry about the spelling errors tho… i copied and pasted the body of every poem but sometimes typed out the titles… my bad.
if anyone asks i’ll just tell them you never graduated from elementary school and actually given that, your spelling is pretty fantastic..
